At Karen Gee, our Made to Measure service is designed to feel effortless, personal, and considered. Below is a simple step by step guide to help you understand what to expect.
Step 1 | Make an Appointment

Once your appointment is confirmed, our team will ask a few simple questions so we can be fully prepared for your visit and your individual needs.
Step 2 | Your Initial Appointment
At your scheduled time, you will meet with the Karen Gee team either in store or virtually. We will discuss your requirements, whether you are dressing for an event, building a corporate wardrobe, or creating timeless foundation pieces.
You will be shown sample garments, guided through our colour palette, and advised on styles best suited to you. Your measurements and photos will then be taken and confidentially kept on file for future orders.
For virtual appointments, we will guide you to a professional fitter in your local area.
Once styles are finalised, your order is confirmed and processed.
Step 3 | Toile Fitting Booking
At your initial appointment, we will schedule your toile fitting at Karen Gee. This typically takes place around three weeks after your order is placed.
Step 4 | Toile Fitting
You will attend your toile fitting with one of our professional fitters, where your garment is precisely adjusted to your body. This fitting allows for refinement and any changes to be made before your final garment is completed.
Step 5 | Final Fitting or Delivery
Approximately two weeks after your toile fitting, your garment will be complete. You may return for a final try-on to ensure everything is perfect, or we can arrange for your piece to be delivered directly to you.

Can I do a virtual fitting from anywhere in the world, and how does this work?
Yes, you can have a virtual fitting from anywhere in the world.
Book your MTM consultation and select the 'virtual' option. We meet online to discuss your style, preferences, and garment details.

We guide you through taking accurate body measurements and create a finished garment, which is then sent to your local fitter for final fit.
This process allows clients globally to experience a high-precision, bespoke-style fit.
Can I choose what initials I have in the garment?
Absolutely. You can choose any initials, and we place them on the inside of the garment.
It’s a personalised finishing touch that many clients love.
What happens if I lose or gain weight?
Body changes are completely normal, and your garment is built to handle this.
All KG MTM garments are made with a 2 cm seam allowance, which gives us room to take the garment in if you lose weight and let the garment out slightly if you gain weight.
This extended seam allowance is larger than industry standard, giving you greater long term flexibility and a longer garment lifespan.
